  1. Put the truck in D but it kept saying 1,2 it feels like it wants to Go to D then it kicks it to N. How can I make it to Drive

    • If your truck's transmission is not shifting into Drive mode, it could be due to a variety of issues, from mechanical problems to electrical or software faults. Without specialized equipment and expertise, it's challenging to troubleshoot and fix these types of problems.

If the truck is not responding when you shift into Drive, you might try the following:

Check transmission fluid level and quality: The fluid should be at the correct level and should not be dirty or smell burnt. If the fluid is low, you can add the appropriate transmission fluid as specified by the manufacturer.

Reset the truck's computer system: Disconnect the battery for 15-20 minutes. This can reset the computer system and potentially clear an electronic glitch affecting the transmission.

Check for error codes: If your truck has an OBD (on-board diagnostics) port, use a code reader to check for any error codes. These codes can provide valuable information about what's wrong with the vehicle.

However, the safest and most reliable course of action is to take the truck to a professional mechanic or a dealer service center. Transmission issues can be complicated and trying to fix them without the right knowledge or tools can lead to more damage and higher repair costs in the future.

    • Hello,

The yellow upside down triangle symbol on an International Truck's dashboard typically indicates a warning of some sort. This is often associated with potential issues that may affect the vehicle's performance or safety. It could indicate an engine or transmission fault, an issue with the braking system, or other significant mechanical issues. However, without specific context or additional indicators, it's hard to provide a precise diagnosis.

For the most accurate interpretation, it is recommended to refer to the owner's manual or consult with a professional mechanic or the truck's manufacturer. It's important to address any warnings promptly to ensure the vehicle's safety and reliability.

      Hope this helps!

  2. Love this page. My work truck 2021 RH613 International has a satellite symbol that comes on sometimes when the CRUISE CONTROL is active. The symbol is sometimes white in color, then sometimes changes GREEN. When it changes green, the engine RPM will slow down for about 20-30 seconds, then will increase back up to RPM/speed set . This is annoying, especially when someone is behind me wondering why I keep slowing down and speeding back up to my set cruise control speed. Can I DISABLE this somehow?

    • I get why you are mad about the green satellite symbol and the corresponding rpm fluctuations in your 2021 International RH613 truck. I can’t diagnose the problem for sure until you provide more details, but I can offer some insights and suggestions to turn it off:

      Some possible causes could be:

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): This system may exist on your vehicle that uses radar or cameras to maintain a safe distance from the car ahead of it. The green satellite symbol might show ACC activation, while RPM changes may be due to it trying to maintain the desired space.
Speed Limiter: Certain trucks have speed limiter option which restricts how fast the truck can travel. The green signals may show that this feature is on while the decrease in RPM may indicate that the system is disallowing any further increase in speed above the limit.
A malformation: It is also likely that there might have been a problem with this system.

      Potential solutions include

      1. Check Your Owner’s Manual: Your owner’s manual should contain specific information about features and operations of your truck such as what is meant by a green satellite sign and associated behaviors. Refer to sections detailing cruise control, driver assistance systems, and speed limiter.
      2. Inspect Instrument Cluster: A variety of different types of warning messages or specific warnings related to the green symbol might appear on your instrument cluster. Consider any indicators which might give some hint regarding reasons behind its malfunctioning.
      3. Contact your Dealership: If neither the owner’s manual nor instrument cluster provides adequate answers, then reach out to a local International dealership where technicians who are certified in their field will determine what went wrong and advise on an appropriate fix, whether it involves disabling or repairing.

      Disabling this Functionality:

Whether you can disable the feature depends on its specific function and your truck's model and configuration. Some systems may allow you to turn them off entirely, while others require the vehicle’s computer system to be reprogrammed. Before making any changes, it is important that you read your owner’s manual or consult with an authorized dealer as they can advise you in the best way possible without bringing further complications.

      • I found what this is on page 92 in the owner's manual. Thank you for replying. It is called PCC Predictive Cruise Control. It comes on automatically when you operate the cruise control. It is obviously in its early stages because it malfunctions. What I mean by that is on a straight and FLAT road, with no obstacles in front of the truck, the PCC will activate and slow the truck down. It is very frustrating. This GPS cruise control is plain stupid.
